Smartcare Repair MC High Strength Micro Concrete    
 Description:- SmartCare Repair MC is a single component high strength Micro-concrete with shrinkage compensated and polymer modified, fluid micro concrete for all types of structural repairs. Smartcare Repair MC when mixed with clean water produces highly consistent and fluid micro concrete suitable for mass infill to structural repairs in all types of load-bearing situations. Repairs on old concrete areas:- The decayed or damaged area of the concrete should be saw cut or cut neatly keeping the side of the area as square as possible. Feather edging must be avoided. Test the surface for soundness; remove all loose debris, dust and water. Reinforcing steel preparation:-  In new construction, corrosion of the reinforcing steel and chloride contamination is not usually a concern. In cases of old concrete rehabilitation where the reinforcing steel has been rusted the reinforcing shall be prepared by a wire brush or any other mechanical means prior to priming of the steel with Zinc anode 500, 2K zinc rich epoxy primer Priming of the substrate:- Generally priming of the substrate is not necessary however the concrete should be thoroughly soaked with water constantly, to a saturated but surface should dry prior to installation of the repair. Mixing:- It is recommended that only full bag of 25 kg is mixed. SmartCare Repair MC should be mixed by mechanical means. Single bag may be mixed using a slow speed drill and spiral paddle or forced action mechanical mixer. Place the mixing water into the mixing bucket and add the SmartCare Repair MC powder and mix for approximately 4-5 minutes until a smooth lump free consistency is achieved. The water additions shall be approx. 3.75 liters per 25kg bag. Recommended to add (±0.5 Ltr) of water as per site conditions and application.

2mm APP Membrane with polyester reinforcement, For Waterproofing  Mak Polyplast Superior is a polymeric waterproofing membrane consisting of five layers. The Centre core consists of 100 microns High Molecular High Density Polyethylene Film. The Polyethylene Film is the reinforcement barrier against water and moisture. The Centre Core is provided on both sides with APP polymer modified bitumen with properties of high Softening point, Heat resistance and high Penetration making it ideal for waterproofing purposes. The polymer modified bitumen is protected on both sides with thermo-fusible High Molecular High Density Polyethylene Film. The polymeric membrane has elongation exceeding 300% to absorb all Structural movements. It has a very high tensile strength and cold resistivity to adapt to all contours.

Application Procedure:

1. The surface has to be cleaned to have a smooth surface.
2. Apply a coat of Mak Primer @ 0.3 lit/sqm 3. A coat of Mak Blown Bitumen 85/25 or 90/15 is coated on the surface @ 1.2kg/sqm or Mak Bond for cold application.
4. Mak Polyplast Superior is unrolled over the coated surface and bonded completely on the substrate with overlaps of 10 cm. The overlaps are sealed with flame or Mak Blown Bitumen.
5. Mak Polyplast Superior is to be topped with a second layer of Mak Blown Bitumen @ 1.2Kg/Sqm and finished with Mak Silver Paint. If necessary, it can be topped with tiles or cement mortar.

 SMARTCARE PRE APPLY HDPE 80 MEMBRANE High Density Polyethylene membrane for pre-application.   Description:-  Smartcare Pre Apply HDPE 80 is a thick High density polyethylene membrane. It is a multi-layer composite waterproofing material with superior performance, including a layer of high-performance PE film, self-adhesive polymer layer and a unique particulate layer. Unlike conventional membranes, this forms a bond with the wet concrete poured over it and becomes monolithic part of the structure. This prevents water ingress tracking between the unbonded membrane and structure.   Application Data:-Surface Preparation: All surfaces – It is essential to create a sound a solid substrate to eliminate movement during the concrete pour. Substrates must be regular and smooth with no gaps or voids greater than 12 mm. grout around all penetrations such as utility conduits, etc. for stability. Horizontal. Overlap all roll ends and cut edges by a minimum 75mm and ensure the area is clean and free from contamination, wiping with a damp cloth if necessary. Remove all floating particles from the surface of the SmartCare HDPE 80 preapplied waterproofing membrane by brush. Apply SmartCare HDPE Tape by peeling off release paper and fix the adhesive on the substrate. Roll firmly to ensure complete adhesion without creases or voids. Peel off the other layer of release paper and apply another piece of SmartCare Pre Apply HDPE 80 to the adhesive tape. Roll firmly to ensure complete adhesion. Alternatively, remove all floating particles form the surface of SmartCare Pre Apply HDPE80 by brush. Pouring of concrete The concrete must be poured within 40 days of application of the membrane. During pouring, take care when vibrating concrete to avoid damaging of the waterproofing materials. Formwork removal SmartCare Pre Apply HDPE 80 pre-applied waterproofing membrane can be applied to removable formwork, such as slab perimeters, elevator and lift pits, etc. once the concrete is poured the formwork must remain in place until the concrete has gained sufficient compressive strength to develop the surface bond. SmartCare Pre apply HDPE 80 preapplied waterproofing membrane is not recommended for conventional twin-sided wall forming systems. As a guide, to reach the minimum compressive strength stated above a structural concrete mix with an ultimate strength of 40N/mm2 will typically require a cure time of approximately six days at an average ambient temperature of -4c or two days at 21C. please contact your local Asian Paints Technical officer for more details. Blinding The substrate must be free of loose aggregate and sharp protrusions. Avoid curved or rounded substrates. The surface does not need to be dry, but standing water must be removed. Vertical sheet piling Use concrete, plywood, insulation or other approved facing to sheet piling to provide support for the membrane. Board systems such as timber lagging must be close butted to provide support and not more than 12mm out of alignment. Membrane installation Place the Smartcare Pre Apply HDPE 80 Membrane HDPE film side to the substrate with particulate layer side up, facing the concrete pour. End laps should be staggered to avoid buildup of layers. Accurately position succeeding sheets to overlap the previous sheet 75m along the marked selvedge. Ensure the underside of the succeeding sheet is clean, dry and free from contamination, before attempting to overlap. Ensure a continuous bond is achieved without creases and roll firmly with a heavy roller. Any initial tack will quickly disappear.

 PRECAUTIONS:- Do not add water to Smart Care Damp Block 2K during mixing/application At least 3 to 5 days curing is required. Always add powder to polymer, to ensure the mixture is free of lumps. Do not cure by flooding with water or conduct any ponding test before it gets completely cured. In case of fresh concrete/masonry substrate – the surface must be cured for 28 days before application. Overlaying of cementitious screed/plaster must be done within 24 to 48 hrs.

Asian Paints SmartCare Waterproofing Membrane   APP Modified Glass Fiber Sheet Reinforced Bituminous Membrane (2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm)   PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:- Asian Paints SmartCare Waterproofing Membrane is a APP modified glass fiber sheet reinforced bituminous membrane for superior waterproofing. This membrane exhibits excellent tensile strength, tear strength, puncture resistance and dimensional stability. The torch side of the membrane is covered with polyethylene film for protection of the membrane.  USES:-  Waterproofing /damproofing membrane in horizontal and vertical applications for protection of various substrates like concrete, masonry, GI, aluminium, wood etc. in wide range of uses: > > > > > > Accessible and non accessible medium to large roof slabs in domestic, commercial and industrial construction.( As per specified system for accessibility) Basements and raft slabs Swimming Pools Roof Gardens Underground car parks Bridges & Tunnels.  APPLICATION DETAILS:- SUBSTRATE QUALITY AND PREPARATION Inspect the surface conditions The concrete surface should be levelled, tough and should not have hollow areas or pot holes Check hollowness by hammering and repair such areas as well as pot holes using polymer modified cement sand mortar Allow to cure for at least 72 hour before application of membrane Clean the surface so that it is free from loose dust, particles, oil etc by brooming or vacuum cleaner Apply bitumen based primer as per recommended coverage and allow it to dry till tack free (about 6-8 hours).  APPLICATION METHOD/ TOOLS:- Unroll the membrane and align with proper markings at all over area. Re-roll the roll into its original form so that alignment is not disturbed Point the torch towards the primed surface and then on the underside of the membrane. Torch till the compound reaches its softening points. The best visual to confirm this is when the embossing on the membrane starts to disappear. Roll the membrane forward while firmly pressing it to the substrate so that it bonds Keep overlap margin for minimum 100 mm between two adjoining membranes for end laps and a minimum of 50mm for side laps Ensure that a constant flow of bitumen is maintained across the whole width of the roll and that a bead of bitumen is extruded from all edge which demonstrates that a good seal has obtained The Bitumen membrane applied all over the terrace, must be finished with a coating of aluminum paint for non trafficable area. Apcolite Advanced 2-Pack Epoxy Primer Grey Asian Paints Apcolite Advanced 2-Pack Epoxy Primer Grey is a Two Component, High Build, Epoxy Zinc Phosphate primer with surface tolerant property.    PRODUCT BENEFITS:-  High Performance Primer Asian Paints Apcolite Advanced 2-Pack Epoxy Primer Grey is a High Performance Primer for new & maintenance application and designed to offer excellent corrosion protection to mild steel substrates. Excellent Adhesion Its excellent adhesion property to the mild steel surface makes it a long, durable anti-rust finish. Over-coating Property This product can be over-coated with conventional coatings and most two component coatings. Dual Coat System This product can be used as a primer as well as a topcoat.   PRECAUTIONS Mineral Turpentine SHOULD NOT BE used in this product under any circumstances as it is not compatible with this product. Substrate temperature should be atleast 3 °C above dew point but not above 50°C. Relative humidity in the environment should be below 85%. Good ventilation is required in confined areas to ensure proper curing. For flat surfaces, it is recommended to work only with 2 sq. ft. area at a time so as to build uniform film buildup and also for better workability. For optimum performance of the product, a minimum of 2 – 3 Coats by brushing would be required to build necessary dry film thickness of 80 – 100 microns. If Apcolite Advanced 2-Pack Epoxy Primer is applied as primer as well as topcoat, a minimum of 3-4 coats of the same would be required, to build the necessary dry film thickness. As with all epoxies, Apcolite Advanced 2 Pack Epoxy Primer will chalk and discolour on exterior exposure. However, this is not determinental to anti – corrosive performance. The actual chalking will depend upon climatic conditions and will normally be limited to a thin surface layer. This product is not recommended for immersion services in acids, alkalies & solvents.
